Stetson Phillips –
Our group ended up purchasing two of these tripods for a recent elk hunt – one for the shooter and one for the photographer and let’s just say we were absolutely impressed with it.
Traversing the mountains with gear can be a challenge, but this tripod’s lightweight build made it one of the lightest things we packed. It was a relief to reduce weight where we could.
Setting it up was a breeze, offering quick adjustments that made capturing our hunt moments, both photos and videos, a seamless experience. The stability it provided for my camera was outstanding, delivering shake-free images and videos even in challenging conditions. One of its standout features was the range of extension for each leg paired with the ability to angle the legs individually. These features were crucial when setting up on the slope of a mountain and helped provide a sturdy platform when on the steep terrain.
When paired with the UD Orbit Ballhead and the UD Grasp Gun Vise, this tripod proved to be a necessary tool. Its adaptability allowed for seamless adjustments, transforming into a reliable shooting rest when he needed to take the shot.
Since the trip I’ve also used it for a shooting rest while target practicing and photography events – its crazy that a single tripod can be used for so many applications. One of my favorite features is the ability to adjust the height so quickly – you can go from shooting prone to standing just by making a few adjustments.
Overall, I can’t recommend this enough. Its multifunctional design, lightweight build, stability, and durability make it an absolute must-have for any outdoor enthusiast, whether you’re a photographer or a shooter. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to a friend so if you’re in the market for a new tripod, I believe you’ll be satisfied with this one.
