How to Install an Ultradyne Compensator
At Ultradyne USA, we are proud of our new line of firearms accessories. One of the most important aspects of getting the best results from your Ultradyne products is to ensure that they are set up properly.
Today, we are demonstrating how easy it is to get our C4 Dynamount Front Sight and the Apollo muzzle device installed correctly.
Before beginning installation, you will need to make sure you have all of the tools and parts handy. Check that you have the timing nut, the muzzle device and the Dynamount Front Sight. Also, decide if you’d like to mount your front sight in the standard or 45 degree offset configuration. For tightening, you will need a torque wrench and standard wrenches as detailed in the chart below. To double-check alignment, you can use a level as a reference after installation. How will a ULTRADYNE PEGASUS TANKER COMPENSATOR work on a 6mm ARC with 5/8-24 threads?
I plan to add a muzzle brake on a 18” barrel for hunting and utility work.
Suggestions are welcomed.
The bullet diameter is the same as a 6mm Rem and the pressure coming out of the shell is a little less. The performance and recoil reduction with that caliber will be great with the Pegasus. In a hunting scenario, the 90° ports won’t have any gas exhaust going back towards the shooter, but it will still be very loud.
13/16 did not fit on my Apollo S. 7/16 worked up front and the timing nut was larger and I had to use an adjustable wrench to get it timed and installed.

13/16 wrench is too small. I went out and bought 2 like you mentioned in the video. Now I have to go back and figure out the right size. Please give correct information in your videos.
Hey Sam, The 13/16″ wrench fits perfectly on a 5.56 size compensator – as shown in the video.
How do you know where correct timing position is?
Hey Brian, the top of the compensator should be completely level with the side ports also running parallel to the ground and your hand guard.
how do you know correct index position
Is it ok to install the brake with crush washer instead of timing nut? I’m planning to use a blast shield and there’s no room for shrouded nut.

Will the 308 version work on my 300 SAUM with a 22″ barrel?

We would suggest that you use the 300 Caliber Apollo LR.

Is the wrench flat for the 308 Athena the same as the 223? (7/8)
